10 million people lack access to proper sanitation in Malawi. Villagers suffer from snake bites and infectious diseases including Cholera, Typhoid and Hepatitis. As part of our sanitation program, we are adding washing stations and communal toilets near orphanages in our villages to decrease the spread of disease and promote better hygiene.
To date, we have four toilets and washing stations set up in Salima, Malawi. We hope to increase this to 13 by the end of 2017.
