Why We’re Different

We take a holistic approach to solving the poverty equation. We consider people, planet and animals. We understand that each are interlaced and all must be addressed to ensure sustainability.

We focus on the simple fact that we are all more the same than different when it comes to basic needs and quality of life.

We recognize that global inequities and basic needs such as clean water, healthcare, etc are not being met for many emergent nations.

We promote needs-based assistance and pro-poor conservation at the village level in their commitment to self-sufficiency.

Just One Humanity fosters a new paradigm of charity whereby developing nations serve as responsible citizens of this planet to engage in grass-roots involvement and become stewards of the environment.

Holistic

We take a holistic approach to solving the poverty equation. We consider people, planet and animals. We understand that each is interlaced and all must be addressed to ensure sustainability. We do this through five key areas: water, food, health, education and conservation.

Sustainable

We want to put an end to extreme poverty while preserving the planet for future generations to come. We look for solutions that not only meet the need of the people but also do not compromise the natural environment, leading to long-term self-sufficiency and sustainability.

Ecological

Often times, conservation and poverty are treated as two separate initiatives. But in fact, they are closely related. Human-wildlife conflicts, deforestation, over fishing, poaching, climate change effects are felt more closely by those who live in these remote rural areas. Ecosystems provide food, water, fiber, fuel, climate regulation, water, disease control and many spiritual and aesthetic benefits.

Community-Centric

Our solutions aren’t led by a team of experts from the first world, we identify and partner with local leaders and social groups to cultivate and implement sustainable solutions to meet their needs. Listening and learning from the people who live in extreme poverty every day, is the only way to break the cycle. We are a grassroots movement that involves the communities we serve every step of the way.

Innovative

We are constantly learning and evolving as an organization. Being able to adapt and quickly change directions is something we understand undoubtedly. We respond quickly and efficiently to the needs of the villages we work with. If something fails, we learn from it, and make it better.
